Neon Siege

The city turns on you. Your companion fights by itself — all you do is move, and every level you pick one of three upgrades. See how long you last.

Why it plays the way it does_

Back to the arcade

You never attack

The whole game is one decision repeated: which upgrade. Everything else is spectacle, and the spectacle is the point.

The crowd stays a crowd

Enemies push each other apart. Left to stack they collapse into one thick blob and the screen stops being readable.

A wall of enemies is not instant death

Contact damage is on your cooldown, not theirs. Charging per enemy per frame would delete you in one frame, which is not difficulty.

Scores are saved on this device. A shared leaderboard needs an account, and travellers are not wired to the arcade yet.
